At Freedom Recovery Center, we believe in the value of good health and wellness. With the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) now declared as a global pandemic, we cannot help but think of all those we know and care about, especially our at-risk patient community, whom we have had the privilege to serve. We've wanted to contact everyone personally to share more about what we are doing to ensure that your safety and health is our upmost concern during this time.

First and foremost, we care about everyone's safety and we are closely monitoring this situation with guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO) to ensure that we are giving you the most up-to-date information possible. Due to the seriousness of this situation and the local policies that vary by location, we encourage everyone to stay informed and follow the recommendations of your local health authorities.

No matter where you live, it's worth repeating WHO's advice for protecting yourself and others: Wash your hands frequently with soap and/or alcohol-based sanitizers; avoid touching your eyes, nose, and cover your mouth if you feel you're going to cough; and try to maintain social distancing guidelines. If you are exhibiting flu-like symptoms or having difficulty breathing, please contact your closest emergency room to see what your next course of action should be.

That being said, the care of our patients is our top priority. If you are feeling ill and have an upcoming appointment at our facility, please contact us at (517)881-6199 to set up an alternative treatment plan to guarantee your safety as well as the safety of others. We do understand that we treat a high at-risk level population and we would like to do as much as we can to ensure that everyone is receiving the correct medical care that they require during these uncertain times.

For the time being, we will remain open to service the needs of our patients. We will be working diligently to keep patient safety our upmost concern. Freedom Recovery will be implementing social distancing, following proper cleanliness standards as set by WHO, and encouraging all those who enter our facility to vigorously wash their hands upon entrance and again while exiting.

We understand how incredibly important it is to protect yourself, so do not hesitate to call and speak with one of our trained associates on this issue. Please note that emergency rooms around Michigan have set up testing protocols for COVID-19. If you are concerned that you've been in contact with this illness or are exhibiting signs, please contact your local emergency room and have the test conducted.

We look forward to continuing to serve you in a safe environment to ensure that this does not affect you or your family's recovery journey. If this illness is giving you anxiety, or if you feel that this will drastically impact your recovery process, please feel free to contact our office (517)881-6199 or the national helpline number at (800)662-4357. Please take this time to encourage each other that this situation is only temporary, and we will do our best to support you in any way that we can.
